During the month of September, the families of Sacred Heart Villa have generously contributed to a collection for children at Marygrove. Marygrove is a residential program in Florissant for children of all ages who have experienced trauma. This facility helps to restore their childhood by providing a safe environment, and compassionate care while receiving high-quality mental health services. Kris Doder met with the grandparent of one of our students who asked if Sacred Heart Villa could help collect much needed socks and underwear for the children at Marygrove. Bonnie Devoti had also invited the students and parishioners of St. Ambrose to help with this collection. Our Sacred Heart Villa families did an incredible job with donating 478 pairs of underwear and 572 pairs of socks! At our prayer service on the First Friday of October, we announced to the children the large number of items they had collected and told them that this truly showed kindness for others. They are sharing Christ's love by helping these children. It is never too early to give children the opportunity to be of service to others in need. God bless our SHV families!
